The Havelock/Havelock-Plover All-School Reunion will be held at the Expo Center in Pocahontas. A catered dinner will be served from 12:00 to 1:00 with alumni seated at tables according to classes. Following a short meeting, you may circulate and visit as long as you wish. A fee of $15 per person will be requested and must be paid in advance. Former students, faculty, staff, and their spouses are welcome. registration form

Bring your lawn chairs to events!

Northwest Communications Open House - Northwest Communications (Northwest Telephone Cooperative Association) will be giving tours from 8am to 10am. Come and see the old switchboard that was used years ago. Northwest has given our community lots of support for this event with many donations. Let's all visit and give them our thanks.

Free Kids Games will be held on Main Street. Parents must accompany children.

Dunk Tank - Any volunteers? Sheriff Bob Lampe has already volunteered. Want to "sink" him?

Cow Pie Bingo - Tickets $10 each. 100 squares. Direct hit wins $300. Four adjacent squares win $50 each.

Rubber Duck Race - Ducks $1 each. Race down creek west of town. Prizes awarded for first five winners. Prize amounts dependant on number of entries.

Food & Beverage Booths will be set up around town.

Beer Garden will be at the north end of town, starting in the afternoon. IDs will be checked and wristbands will be issued.

The Fabulous Traidmarx were inducted into the Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. Band member Dave Lady graduated from Havelock-Plover in 1968.

Auction items will be at the Amvets Hall & Methodist Church. Need not be present to win. The top bidders will be announced in the evening.

Quasquicentennial Memorabilia - Orders may be picked up at the library starting Friday, July 28th. If you would like your order before then, just give us a call.

Quilt Show
Registration will be at 7:30-8:30 am on Saturday, July 29 at the Havelock Methodist Church.  The registration form can be filled out prior to the quilt show to speed up the registration process.

Quilts can be picked up at 5:00 pm on Saturday.

Camping is available at Elbert Park in Pocahontas and at Meredith Park near Plover. Meredith Park is $15 per night with hook-ups. Also has shower rooms. Very nice campground - not the same old Plover Pit.
